It’s been one of those weeks.
First, my family and I ended up sick and then poor Angela’s family got it.
This week’s episode, Brie and I discuss how to have a seat at the table — and no, we don’t mean for dinner.
As we prepare each week for MarketHer, the three of us discuss what’s happening around us, hunting for a show-worthy topic.
This week, Brie read a fantastic article on 4 tips to getting a seat at the table.
But, what table are we actually talking about?
The “table” we’re referring to is really any place that you want to make space for yourself. At work, this could be a leadership or a new role. At home, this could be in your relationships with friends and family.
We run through the 4 tips shared, offering our commentary and experiences in doing (and trying to do) these four things in our lives.
But, wait, there’s more!
One of the tips in the article was a perfect shoo-in for us to share the start of the MarketHer Book Club and announce our first book! WOOO!
Starting right NOW, the MarketHer BookClub consists of:
- a new book every month
- ongoing conversation in the MarketHer Facebook Group
- the last episode of the month will feature the book, YOUR conversations (with permission) about the book in the group and our key takeaways.
We all have so much learning to do from each other and MarketHer was created to help facilitate that. We are SO excited about this Book Club and can’t WAIT to start it with you!
Watch/listen to this week’s episode to find out the first book of the club (or scroll down for a link to Amazon to purchase it!)
This month’s books is… Radical Candor: Be a Kick-ass Boss Without Losing Your Humanity. Go order it right now, or download on Audible for free with a 30-day free trial!
Either way, get it, read it and then join in the conversation here!
